EMERA

From Emerald Bay to EMERA

Through my work over the past twelve years with corporate teams, I observed the same challenge across industries: the demands were constant, yet there was rarely an opportunity to step away and reset.

What leaders needed was a way to meaningfully shift their physiological response to stress, allowing them to restore capacity while remaining fully engaged in the moment.

That insight shaped the philosophy behind EMERA, but its roots began much earlier.

Growing up in Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay was the place I returned to time and again. Its crystal-clear turquoise water, framed by towering granite cliffs, had a remarkable ability to quiet my mind and create a rare sense of calm, clarity, and perspective.

Over time, I came to understand that it wasn’t simply the beauty of the landscape that felt restorative. It was the response it created within me.

Years later, I began sharing that same visualization with teams, inviting them to mentally return to a place where they felt completely at ease (even in the midst of bustling New York City). The exercise often created an immediate shift and reinforced a belief that has guided my work ever since: restoration isn’t defined only by where we are, but by the state we can create within ourselves.

EMERA grew from that philosophy. It is a simple daily ritual designed to bring the restorative quality I first experienced at Emerald Bay into the moments when calm, clarity, and presence matter most.

A Daily Return to Calm

Not reserved for the end of the day or the next vacation, but woven into the everyday rituals that carry us from one moment to the next.
